A great blue heron perches at a nature area in Longmont, Colorado, with the Rocky Mountains in the background. In this vertical color photograph, the heron fills the frame with its back toward the camera and its head turned to the left. Its beak is partially open, and the two tassels on its head mirror each other as they flutter in the light breeze. The background shows the pond water in the lower portion of the frame, with the opposing shoreline and its vegetation beyond. Rising above are the Rocky Mountains beneath a hazy bluish sky. The late-afternoon light is golden, backlighting the heron and adding a beautiful glow to the scene.

Witch Hat Atelier Episode 8 released today

tv
837.8KMonday

New Witch Hat Atelier episode dropped today as the series continues to dominate Spring 2026 anime conversations.

animenewsnetwork.comdigital fan art of Qifrey and Oruggio from Witch Hat Atelier, depicting Qifrey enveloped in a tangle of silver wood branches and leaves, while Oruggio stands opposite him and holds his hands.
they are both depicted as thin young men. Qifrey is very pale and has short wavy white hair, the bangs long enough to cover his eyes and the top of his cheek as he is hanging his head low. Oruggio has tan skin and short straight black hair, both it and his goatee somewhat unkempt. there are burn scars visible on the backs of his hands, palms and forearms.
both of them are wearing their usual clothes. Oruggio is dressed in a long dark skirt with an intricate wide belt and a loose white shirt tucked into it, with long billowing sleeves, caught at the elbows with dark cords. Qifrey is wearing a black turtleneck, the collar covering his neck and the sleeves covering his hands halfway; his white robes and skirt are a mess of drapery caught in between the silver wood branches. he seems to be limp and resigned, letting the branches hold him up, his face covered and half out of frame, his lips pressed into a thin, anguished line. Oruggio stands in front of him, pressing the back of Qifrey's right hand into his chest, and holding the fingers of Qifrey's left hand loosely in his right, together with his ivory-handled pen, resting between Oruggio's thumb and Qifrey's fingers. his face is turned up to Qifrey's, and he is wearing a soft smile, eyes closed as if he is sleeping, resting his cheek on a branch that curls gently around his shoulders and back.

California jury rules against Musk, finding Altman/OpenAI not liable and ending the three-week trial.

OAKLAND, California, May 18 (Reuters) - A U.S. jury on Monday ruled against Elon Musk in his lawsuit against OpenAI, finding the artificial intelligence company not liable to the world's richest person for ‌having allegedly strayed from its original mission to benefit humanity.
In a unanimous verdict, the jury in Oakland, California, federal court said Musk had brought his case too late. The jury deliberated less than two hours.

The trial had widely been seen as a critical moment for the future of OpenAI and artificial intelligence generally, both in how it should be used and who should benefit from it.
Following the verdict, Musk's lawyer said he reserved the right to appeal, but the judge suggested he may have an uphill battle because whether the statute of limitations ran out before Musk sued was a factual issue.
"There's a substantial amount of evidence to support the jury's finding, which is why I was prepared to dismiss on the spot," U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers said.
