Tom Kane, prolific voice actor, dies at 64
Tom Kane, the veteran voice actor, has died at 64; he voiced Professor Utonium in The Powerpuff Girls and narrated Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He also performed Yoda and multiple supporting characters across The Clone Wars animated series. Kane spent decades voicing characters in animation and video games, and his distinctive narration and character work shaped many ongoing reissues and revivals of those franchises.
RIP Tom Kane So many great performances but Professor Utonium is the best of the best to me. The punchline to this scene has been a part of my lexicon for ages.

When I was fresh out of college, I had no connections and nothing but a dream. I co-wrote an indie animated spec. Somehow, we got it to Tom. He voiced our main character for free. “Putting good into the world has a habit of coming back around,” he said. RIP Tom Kane. Thank you, truly.
