Israel's navy is moving to intercept the Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to hold a security meeting to approve seizure of the boats, Anadolu reports. More than 50 vessels sailed from Marmaris, Turkey, as part of the Global Sumud mission to deliver aid and press for Palestinian rights, and organizers are livestreaming the flotilla's progress. Organizers and several media outlets say Israeli forces have detained activists from multiple countries and intend to transfer those taken to the Israeli port of Ashdod. The interception raises legal and diplomatic stakes and could further obstruct humanitarian shipments to Gaza.
