Stephen Colbert's Late Show ends this week, final episode scheduled
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert ends this week; the final episode of Colbert's CBS run airs Thursday. NPR published a career retrospective noting Colbert's 20-year evolution from satirical pundit to a late-night host WHO distinguished truth from "truthiness." Architectural Digest released a full tour of the Ed Sullivan Theater Late Show set, and separate clips include Bette Midler reworking one of her songs aimed at Donald Trump. Colbert's departure closes a two-decade era of politically driven network late-night and leaves a notable gap in mainstream nightly satire.
For anyone interested, tonight there’s a special “Worst of ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’”. We sure had a lot of fun making it and I hope people “enjoy” it.
I can’t believe there’s a “Worst of” because “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” is the best!!! The show has brought me so much joy
I will be so enjoying these final shows this week. Loved the off the roof antics on Friday's show. Still think the watermelons, a legacy of Dave's are truly spectacular when they hit the ground. The cake created the more pretty pattern though. Any chance of a still photo of it?
We are going to miss you all so much. Best of luck
Looking forward to it Brian. Thank you to the entire Colbert team for everything you've done to keep us afloat. Cannot fathom what we're going to do without him and his intelligence, grace, humor, and honesty. Already feeling stressed about the week. Wishing you the best too.
Awesome, man. I didn’t know you were on Bluesky 👍
We've enjoyed it all ♥️
Gonna miss you all and wish the whole team the best for the future.
Where can this be found please?
I’m still upset we’re losing The Late Show. Shame on CBS for caving in.
I heard about this, can't wait to see it.
