Nintendo Direct Peaks at 2.1M Viewers, Reveals New Kirby, Zelda and Metroid Updates

Nintendo’s Direct peaked at about 2.1 million viewers and focused on Switch 2 ports plus first-party updates. Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds will arrive on Switch 2 on December 4 with all post‑launch updates and local co‑op, and its major DLC Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance is slated for 2027. Final Fantasy VII: Revelation and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy Reunion are headed to Switch 2, with Revelation due April 8, 2027 and Crisis Core available now; Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered lands on Switch 2 on September 29 including previous paid DLC and touchscreen and mouse controls. Nintendo announced Switch 2 dates for several first‑party and partner releases: Pikmin 4’s new edition on November 12 with new voice commands and Dandori Academy mode, Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s Switch 2 edition on December 3 adding the Hero Vault mode and a playable character named Shimmer, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity definitive edition on February 25 with Calamity Mode, and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave launching September 17. Resident Evil remakes will be on Switch 2 October 16, Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight releases September 18, and Professor Layton New World of Steam is due December 10. Nintendo showed a brief Pokopia DLC glimpse, added Star Fox Adventures to the Nintendo Classics service and pushed a free Star Fox update for September 29 that adds local multiplayer in single‑player and three new Battle mode stages. Kirby Air Riders will get two new amiibo and an in‑game event, with more details promised soon.
