"Spider-Noir" gives Nicolas Cage a great alternate-universe Marvel role and melds superhero fantasy and film noir to entertaining effect - but make sure to watch it in black-and-white.

The first half of Amazon's "Spider-Noir" is REALLY dull. Then Nicolas Cage starts getting weird. Whether or not that saves the show depends on if you want to watch Nicolas Cage doing arachnid modern dance while talking like James Cagney. My review:

Can Spider Noir please be good? I have had a very depressing few years, and nothing makes me crave superhero nonsense like being sad... A dinosaur could really use a good Spider-Man project this year.

You're not going to believe this, but Nicolas Cage gets very weird in Spider-Noir! I generally enjoyed the show, though it falls apart in the finale, and I highly recommend you skip the color version and stick to black and white. More in the review!
