A bit sad to hear that Judith Chalmers has died. Everyone knows her from Wish You Were Here, but I spend my evenings watching clips of the cookery segments of Good Afternoon from the 70s with Judith and Mary Berry. Their on-screen chemistry was something to behold: they clearly despised each other.

We were queuing for train tickets about 10 years ago; a woman approached the couple ahead of us and said ‘Sorry to bother but are you Judith Chalmers? I loved Wish You Were Here’ and when she left Judith turned to her husband and looked so utterly thrilled to have been recognised - it was very sweet
