Canada issued Alert Ready emergency system test messages across nearly every province and territory over a two-day schedule, excluding Quebec and Saskatchewan. British Columbia ran a coordinated BC Emergency Alert test on television, radio and cell phones at 1:55 p.m. PT. The nationwide exercises were scheduled in specific morning-to-early-afternoon slots to verify that alerts and instructions can be pushed quickly to the public during hazards. Officials will review the tests to fix technical or delivery problems so life‑saving warnings reach people during real floods, wildfires or other emergencies.
