Super Mario Bros. Super Show has resurfaced in nostalgia posts after old footage and commercials turned up, with people zeroing in on the live-action set and its quirky period details. One thread points to an old Atari commercial that calls Mario “Mario from Donkey Kong,” which readers find amusing in hindsight. Others tie the resurfacing to broader retro-Mario interest, name-checking Super Mario World references and a Super Mario Bros. 2 Any% All-Stars run by EthanRTA as part of the same revival of early Mario-era material.
