The story trailer hooked me in and I’m glad to see the story get so much praise. I think it’s going to be an emotional, haunting experience and I’m all for it. The reviews have made this a must play. Xbox Cloud Gaming’s last hurrah for me and it should be a good one! The 360 nostalgia is back!

PSA: Gears of War E-Day is out *today.* Anybody with $100 can buy it and play it. It is simply not accurate to say it won't be released until October 6 - that's just the day it's available for $70, without a bunch of extra stuff bundled in. So very tired of this BS.

The amount of ridiculous one-liners in the game approaches an art form, with pivotal moments punctuated by lines like “A giant floating ballsack with glowing eyes is trying to kill us!” or “Hold on to your dicks!” The true spiritual energy of E-Day can be found in its barks, those lines tossed out by Marcus and his comrades as they mow down alien bad guys. Here are a few examples:

There’s so much material harm surrounding Gears of War E-Day that I just can’t imagine writing about it and not having those conditions inform the work. Developers fearing for their jobs in the same splash page as a glowing review. I don’t know how that doesn’t make you feel insane as a critic.
