Wizards of the Coast will release Secret Lair: Corn Maze Superdrop on October 12, a multi-part drop that includes a seven-card Secret Lair x KPop Demon Hunters: How It’s Done set containing Dawn’s Truce, Unbreakable Formation, Freed from the Real, Swan Song, Demonic Counsel, Tempt with Immortality, and Underworld Breach. The KPop Demon Hunters selection contains no legendary creatures or obvious commander cards, a detail several sample posts called out as disappointing for players who wanted character-specific, movable commander pieces. The broader Superdrop also features three Labyrinth-themed drops that reimagine existing cards as Labyrinth characters, Marvel Zombies-themed cards, artist showcases, artifact lands, and Treefolk. Wizards is teasing that KPop Demon Hunters may return to Secret Lair in the future, which some observers tied to expectations that a later drop could include legendary or commander-eligible cards. The immediate consequence is visible player frustration and speculation that this release may be followed by additional, more character-focused Secret Lair offerings.
