Khezu confirmed for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance expansion

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance confirmed the return of Khezu, and the announcement immediately centered on Khezu’s redesign and role in the expansion. Some players celebrated Khezu’s new freaky, slimy presentation and the addition of tiny Khezu whelps, praising how the creature looks and sounds, while others voiced disappointment that Gigginox was not chosen. Posts also call out Khezu’s loud audio and an upsetting pose in the reveal, and a handful of creators responded by drawing Gigginox or otherwise riffing on the rivalry between the two monsters.

One day you will be free again Giggi

Can't believe every time we beg for Gigginox, we get Khezu instead. It's like when we'd beg for a Frontier monster prior to Rise and get Lavasioth

I complained about it yesterday but this truly has been such a “John Monster” as roster and for the worst so far for Ascendance. Like I don’t get why people like Khezu.

Hopop1

As much as I love Khezu, a different monster would be better.

his slow and tedious attacks largely got mitigated by rise's counters but man, he was there one game ago and it's really a shame to see him back when another monster could've taken up the spot i guess it's a matter of who can be ported with the least amount of work

Khezu returning to Wilds and people being mad it's not Gigginox has me thinking about this again lmao ( art by @/gureko11.bsky.social )

Left, a hunter screaming and crying: "My undying love for Gigginox and my desire to get my ass kicked by her in a current-gen game."

Right, a Khezu: "Japan obsessing over Khezu and adding him to every single MH game because he looks like a penis and has no boss music"

there is no POINT adding khezu to wilds there is no POINT to khezu if you can just walk freely during your attacks khezu does not DO anything if you can walk around khezu does not DO anything there is no POINT
