AAA TripleMania Night 1: Omos brutalizes Rey Mysterio; new trios champions

sportsSep 12, 20262284

At AAA TripleMania 34 Night 1 in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Omos dismantled Rey Mysterio in the show’s big singles match; Omos finished Mysterio with a stretcher/chokeslam spot that sent Mysterio through the announce table. The event drew 6,433 distributed tickets, and commentators were Corey Graves and JBL. Los Perros del Mal defeated the champions to become the new AAA World Trios Champions in the night’s trios title change. Rey Mysterio appeared with El Grande Americano while Omos was accompanied by Dominik Mysterio and Dorian Roldán. The show opened with a video package voiced in Spanish by Rey Mysterio, and AAA announced Marisela Peña will be inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame on October 24 at Heroes Inmortales in Mexico City. The card also featured a shortened tag match after Lady Shani suffered an in-match injury and did not return.

Rey Mysterio Jr. is wearing a version of the Phantom gear he wore at WCW Halloween Havoc in 1997 for Triplemania 34 night 1 in 2026. Both events took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. #TripleMania34 #AAATriplemania

Safe to say Mexico has been a huge success. Looking forward to Night 2 & Raw! (Even though people are weirdly getting their hopes up about Penta winning. It SHOULD set things in motion, though.) #AAATriplemania

Dave the Clown is distracted by Karmen Petrovic. Daga bites Murder Clown. Angel powerbombs MC. Los Perros del Mal become the new AAA World Trios Champions. Main event of Rey Mysterio (Raw; with El Grande Americano) vs. Omos (with Dominik Mysterio & Dorian Roldán) next. #LuchaLibreAAA #AAATripleMania

Omos holding up a stretchered Rey Mysterio before chokeslamming him through a table was a fantastic visual. #AAATripleMania

#AAATripleMania Night 1 is in the books — and I have RECEIPTS. Roxanne Perez is going to Worlds Collide. Dom just gave El Grande Americano a major problem before Sunday. And AAA may have changed my mind about how Dom is being presented. www.youtube.com/live/XNmiSAQ...

#AAATriplemania Definitely not something you wanna see in the first match of a big show. Unfortunately, injuries can happen literally at any time. Hoping it's not too serious and Lady Shani is alright.
