My Little Pony: Forever Friendship, YouTube series announced for 2027

tvJul 24, 2026523,696

Hasbro announced My Little Pony: Forever Friendship, a new YouTube series slated for early 2027 with roughly nine-minute episodes releasing biweekly. Conversation around the announcement zeroes in on the character lineup: the showrunner clarified Applejack and Rarity will be much reduced, which has driven people to redesign and repurpose those two as sidelined favorites. Creators are rekindling Twilight Sparkle as a focal point and pushing the Flutterdash ship as a hopeful arc, while one artist posted that they collaborated with Hasbro and a new poster circulated from the Hasbro booth. Many are framing Forever Friendship as a nostalgic return to previous generations, and several posts compare the short episode length to Pony Life while people parse what a G6 timeline means for beloved characters.

My Little Pony, as a franchise, is doomed to endlessly re-iterate whatever the last successful version of itself did, brainlessly treading in circles until no light is left in the eyes of the people creating it. Like the Backrooms, it will misremember itself until only a fragmented husk remains.
