Interview With the Vampire renewed for Season 4, titled Queen of the Damned

AMC has renewed Interview With the Vampire for a fourth season and retitled it Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned, an announcement made as part of AMC's Immortal Universe presentation at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. The network picked up the new season with playwright and screenwriter Hannah Moscovitch attached as showrunner. Promotional material and posts indicate the season will shift focus onto Akasha, positioning the story to adapt Queen of the Damned. AMC presented the project as the next chapter following The Vampire Lestat, continuing the series' season-by-season retitling. I would say the biggest clue about what's coming up is: That is what's happened — how do we get there? Because it won't be called The Vampire Lestat, if we get it. My guess is we're going to be doing the books’ titles. You're going to be hearing a lot of people's versions of how this happened, too, coming forward.
