The Rings of Power Season 3 trailer, Simon Pegg cast as Balrog

Prime Video unveiled a Season 3 teaser for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power at San Diego Comic-Con that includes a sequence of Sauron creating the One Ring. The streamer also announced Simon Pegg will voice the Balrog in season 3. Actor Daniel Weyman said at the Comic-Con panel that Gandalf "has arrived" after spending time with Tom Bombadil between seasons and that the wizard "is in his power" and will act with agency as darkness rises. Weyman added Gandalf will seek out people whose "hearts have been chilled" to "rewarm" and help defeat Sauron. Prime Video has set the season's release for November 11, with the SDCC teaser serving as the first public look at the new episodes and creatures.
