12 states sue to block Paramount’s Warner Bros. takeover
Paramount is reportedly considering leaving California if the state’s Attorney General sues to stop its proposed takeover of Warner Bros. That’s all the more reason to stop Paramount from amassing even more power.
Every time a giant company hints it’ll pack up and leave if regulators push back, it starts sounding less like a business decision and more like a pressure campaign. Since when do corporations get to call the shots?
When a handful of corporations control what millions of people see and hear, protecting competition and independent journalism isn’t politics it’s democracy.
They plan to move to Texas, like the rest of the people who claim California is so awful?
I don’t anyone really cares. There are other, better companies in California. And more might go there now after they got the filming incentives.
Paramount can work from Florida or Georgia. I’m sure their equipment (and employees) would love the humidity and heat.
California is not an airport for fascist regimes, no need for paramount to announce departure.
Paramount announcing that they’re leaving California because California won’t let them cut tend of thousands of jobs isn’t the threat they think it is.
They will not leave California. That’s the Ellisons talking out of their ass because they are incompetent dipshits who have no clue what that would entail and how impossible that would actually be.
Don’t let the door hit you in the ass….
The irony is that Hollywood as we know it was created to escape monopoly on the east coast

It’s In Your Face Corruption! Only way to end it is Unite for victory and elect Democrats. Throw out the Republicans who allow this shit to happen!
I suppose they'll try to convince us that, say, Muncie is the new Hollywood. Paramount weighs leaving California over Warner Bros. rift www.semafor.com/article/07/1...
Hey now! Muncie has an Arby’s with the OG cowboy hat sign!
How dare you besmirch the good name of the place that produced David Letterman, Garfield and pizza king.
They’ll move it to the South because we in the South are willing to take less money for the same work. 🤷♂️
