Digger trailer debuts, Tom Cruise headlines Iñárritu film
Tom Cruise is absolutely going for that Oscar by undertaking an astonishing physical transformation into...what he would look like in 2026 under normal circumstances. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSnE...
I look forward to someone explaining the movie magic of how a man in his 60s was, thanks to $750K of prosthetics that took 2 hours to apply, given a realistic belly paunch.
This is everything I feared an Inarritu-Cruise movie would be. I held out hope it was a weirdo one hander about a guy digging holes. Alas, it is definitely not that.
He makes my skin crawl.
I thought it was Dennis Quaid.
This is exactly the response I had watching Nicole Kidman in DESTROYER (which was an otherwise decent if unremarkable crime flick).
I always find it rather messed up when actors put on heavy prosthetics to look like ordinary people of their own age.
Dennis Quaid would have been a lot cheaper & required no make up or prosthetics
This looks like a banger.
Really rooting for this for all the obvious reasons. Not sure anyone under 35-40 is going to care though.
I have to say he is a very unconvincing wombat.
If Cruise didn't come by that beer belly naturally, he's a coward and a fraud.
lmao, this looks awful. It’s like they said what if we did the Les Grossman bit but made central to a serious film.
Wtf is this movie going to be???

The Dig Dug adaptation we've all been waiting for
Tom Cruise bringing the same energy as he did for Les Grossman
Aw Yeah, This looks Promising. Cruise looks Legit Unrecognizable in That Makeup, the vibe looks so Chaotic and Fun, and Oh My God, That Poor Cat 😭
Don't sell to any major studio. Letterboxd will be functionally dead if it happens.
Dit ziet er dom uit, in a good way
Tom Cruise is finally acting again and it's in an Iñárritu movie
Cruise might get an Oscar for this because he has made a lot of people in Hollywood a lot of money One day, he’ll be gone, the Scientology stuff we don’t know about will come out, and everyone involved will be very embarrassed
The early footage caught my eye but this full trailer isn't doing it for me. Excited for Cruise really acting but I don't know, tonally it feels very forced.
Jesus Christ that looks awful
NEW TOM CRUISE VILLIAN ROLE LETS FUCKING GOOOO GOD BLESS THE PRESIDENT OF THE MOVIES
New The Shoveler origin story movie looks weird.
This is gonna be either the funniest or the most insufferable film of 2026. No middle ground possible.
It’s a comedy because the camera is often below the eyeline with a wide lens. And the people are yelling. Funny stuff.
Tom Cruise stars in the official trailer for #Digger. Alejandro G. Iñárritu's new film is in theaters on October 2.
Wait, The Digger is ... a climate movie?
I love it when Tom gives himself permission to take off the Leading Man mask and be a Weird Little Guy
There's little I enjoy more than Tom Cruise being weird, but this is a no, absolutely not, nope, not in a million years, hell no we won't go film that I will not be watching ever.
I don't know if inarritu has the sensibilities for this, but what the heck
Oh, I am going to HATE hate this movie, alright.
I am dying laughing at every shot. This looks like a delirious black comedy dream
This looks fucking nuts can't wait
Not to bury the lede, but John Fucking Goodman 🐐
I should get hazard pay if I need to watch this for work
Flipping from Don’t Look Up to Only Look Up (because of all the low-angle shots you see)
This looks like an Ernest movie directed by Kubrick (derogatory) youtu.be/qORTe1wW3Wg?...
It looks like that awful Adam McKay global warming movie, where all the actors want to show that they know they're in a satire by shouting every line of dialogue in a goofy accent.
Should have squeezed a WHERE ARE MY ULTRAS in there
Big-budget absurdist black comedy is the hardest genre to pull off, tonally, by a country mile. And this movie may further prove that theorem.
Saw a trailer for this yesterday that was 90% a "Tom Cruise is the biggest star who ever was" clip show and 10% "and here's a new movie he's in." Not sure I've ever seen a trailer fellate an actor so aggressively. Was he that upset Mission: Impossible wasn't a bigger hit?
I think they're really REALLY going for the "You *will* give Mr. The Last Movie Star His Oscar This Year And Everyone Will See This Movie To Be Ready For It" as 80% of the marketing
Omg yes, I had that same Hey You Like Tom Cruise Right trailer when I saw Supergirl and it was SO weird and off-putting I completely missed what the name of the movie was because I was too busy wondering what the fuck I had just watched. Did the Church of Scientology fund it?
Oh yeah I saw that in theatre when I went to see Supergirl and completely forgot about it!
