Toy Story 5 nears $585M, outpaces Supergirl at box office
Took the youngest kid to their first movie theater today. Saw Toy Story 5 at the Riverview. That place kicks so much ass. $5 tickets, cheap concessions, house full of other families with young kids.
The standard by which I measure other movie theaters, not even kidding.
I loved taking a whole carload of kids to the Riverview. If they liked the movie we'd come back the next week and do it again because we could afford to.
The Parkway during Halloween / Christmas season is really fun, too.
I tend to be a bit snobby with my theater choices, but watching the KPop Demon Hunters sing-along there with 200 scream-singing kids was a genuine highlight of my parenting experience so far.
The best first run movie house in town. Hit up Lynette or Okome House afterwards and life is good
and they show wolves playoff games for free!
‘TOY STORY 5’ has grossed over $585M at the worldwide box office.
At this rate Andrew Stanton will become the first Pixar director to helm two Pixar films to make over a billion. Imagine going from making the biggest bomb in Disney history (RIP John Carter) to that. Amazing
Sweet! I know what I am watching today!
In a setback for Warner Bros.′ revamped DC movie operations, "Supergirl" was absolutely no match for "Toy Story 5" at the box office, opening a distant second to the Pixar blockbuster.
Seems a bit weird to compare a secondary character’s first solo film to a new installment of a genre-defining IP that has entire theme park sections themed after it.
Nothing was going to beat Toy Story. A WB mailroom intern could have told them that.
The bloody trolls are going to love this... dammit.
I mean it’s Toy Story it’s like launching a video game the same day as gta6 and surprised you didn’t sell as well
Toy story was just old after the first one and it is worse each time.
Marvel saturated the market with their content and people started realizing it's the same plot over and over. Also, the movie theater experience is horrible. Especially when we have all the features a movie theater has at home plus a pause button..
I miss when movies were more art than sport I don't care who's beating who at the box office; I would like films that make me think, or laugh, or films that are visually beautiful, or films that impress with their craft and unique vision etc Yet another superhero movie or a 4th sequel is boring
If you like super hero movies, and are rooting for DC—go see this movie. It’s really good. I really don’t get the bad reviews.
I don’t know man these movies are not courting the same audience seems weird to compare
yes, OR, nobody as money to go to the movies anymore?
