Judge Michael Luttig frames Founders' vision, criticizes Trump's approach
Ossoff: "Just think, 250 years on, what the Founders would see if they visited us today. *crowd groans* But wait -- they would see that slavery had been abolished. They would see that Americans without land, and then women, and then the descendants of slaves had secured voting rights ... "
..,and they SHOULD have seen the first woman president by now.
"...and they'd be mad as hell!"
Yet, they would see the current Republican Party stripping what progress we made.
Not sure if he writes his own speeches or he has a speech writer, but..
He’s got the right stuff
Slavery has been rebranded and the other rights will soon be gone :(
The Founding Fathers would be demanding to see a paternity test because this country doesn’t look anything like them.
They would *hate* that shit.
During this regressive era, with civil rights going backward, it's easy to forget how far we've come.
Listen to the whole thing, I’d consider voting for him for President.
He’s not seasoned enough yet, but this man is definitely going to be a president one day, and couldn’t be happier about that!
He's right. the founders would be so pissed...
I love this wonderful person.
Bro they're the ones who didn't want those people to have voting rights in the first place.
Yeah not sure they would actually be that cool about any of that 😂
The 15th Amendment, barring racial discrimination in voting, happened *50 YEARS* before the 19th Amendment, granting women voting rights. But ok.
Granted, many if not most of the Founders would be horrified at the progress we made. But Ben Franklin would probably be cool.
I’d like to hear Franklin’s and Paine’s views on the modern world if possible. Maybe Jefferson, Washington, and Madison too. Most of the rest, especially in the South, might be more horrified that Biden was Catholic than at Trump’s 2nd term.
Cue another round of “Ben Franklin would love Tinder” comments
Show that many OnlyFans and he'd forgive our assimilation off the perfidious Germans
Ben would get ripped on some modern dispensary weed and be down to clown, ja feel??????
Madison, late in life, was remarkably more chill about American politics becoming more democratic than you would think from the author of a pretty undemocratic Constitution.
