Satellite images show Iran damaged U.S. naval base in Bahrain
“.. The extensive damage done to America’s sole naval base in the Middle East .. has the U.S. re-evaluating its entire footprint in the region, according to U.S. officials ..” @wsj.com www.wsj.com/world/middle...
We knew from friends in country that strikes hit the Bahrain base on February 28. Others across the region claim most, if not all, US locations have been attacked and has created a vacuum of military assets. Imagine what we would know if we had a press that reported on a timely basis?
Notable that journalists need to rely on satellite imagery because they cannot count on the Trump administration to tell the truth about anything that might reflect badly on Dear Leader
Iran getting the US to withdraw militarily from the Middle East would be celebrated across the region by those opposed to the West. It would cement that orange sack of raw sewage's military adventures in Iran as the greatest American defeat since Vietnam... if not ever.
that’s the least of worries.. the biggest damage comes from the fact that US has shown to be an unreliable partner and incapable of helping ME countries when the time comes.
This is concerning, obviously. The govt refusing to acknowledge this base got pounded for 4 or 5 months is more concerning. Most concerning is having no idea if there are dead and wounded military, Americans and civilians from these strikes which seems very likely
Please note, the Trump regime, as a matter of course, hides info from the American public & the American Congress. Our nation has never seen an anti-transparency government like this one.
We haven’t been this weak my entire life
Oh look, there are consequences for stupidity.
Funny, didn’t hear Hegseth or Trump mention this…
Trump can’t fight wars. He’s a weak leader. In large part, it’s because he’s a corrupt vacillator who deceives himself as much as he deceives others.
Hegseth fired a lot of experienced military for this result.
Further details about how badly Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump lost the illegal war against Iran.
I said it the day the Strait closed—America has fucked up in a way that will permanently change the face of the world.
The Pentagon covered up the massive damage Iran inflicted on the US Navy Base in Bahrain, including the Fifth Fleet headquarters, the WSJ reports. Satellite imagery revealed the extent of the destruction which could cost $400 million to repair. Total cost for US base damage is now $2 billion.
How much is this in reflecting pools?
It was well reported with verified satellite imagery in Europe and the UK even on the BBC website. Americans need to look for news beyond their shores to avoid the sanitised propaganda.
Put it on Pete's tab.
Not to mention serious troop casualties. The human cost doesn’t seem to matter to Trump/Hegseth. What a surprise.
every day we find out that Trump lost against Iran even harder than what the world saw on the surface
'Could cost' but won't cost $400m. No way will the US rebuild these bases, and no way the Gulf States want them to. Iran gambled that the much lauded Patriot systems would be unable to protect the bases, having tested the concept in past attacks on Israeli bases, on the 'Iron Dome'. Lessons learned.
Welche Verschwendung! Für die Kohle hätte man unzählige Ballsäle oder Triumphbögen bauen können!
The number of subpoenas that the next Democrat administration in the US is going to have to issue to find out what actually went on during Trump's second term is going to reach seven figures. bsky.app/profile/chad...
The exchange rate of base damage to reflecting pools is still pretty impressive.
