CIA director doubts Iran's intentions on nuclear deal
CIA Director John Ratcliffe told President Trump and senior officials that U.S. intelligence doubts Iran will make the nuclear concessions Washington is seeking in any final deal, Axios reports. Axios says Ratcliffe based his skepticism on sensitive intelligence about Iranian intentions and that Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth shared doubts while Vance, Witkoff, and Jared Kushner advocated pursuing the agreement. That split matters because U.S. intelligence doubts could undermine a negotiated agreement and complicate efforts to secure verifiable limits on Iran's nuclear program.
