A U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress crashed shortly after takeoff from Edwards Air Force Base in California’s Mojave Desert around 11:20 a.m. Pacific on Monday. Edwards AFB said emergency crews immediately responded to the scene and the situation is ongoing; the base has not released the crew’s condition. The B-52 is a long-serving strategic bomber, and a crash at Edwards, the Air Force’s principal flight test center, will prompt an Air Force investigation and could affect ongoing test and upgrade programs.

We lost a B-52 and maybe it's been different on cable news (I haven't watched); but so far none of the printed reporting that I have seen have even asked the USAF if the aircraft was carrying nuclear weapons at the time. If so, they wouldn't explode due a crash; but they could spread contamination.
