Millionaire banker arrested in 'Putney Pusher' probe
Police arrested a 44-year-old millionaire banker with ties to several European royal families as a suspect in the 2017 "Putney Pusher" case that shoved a woman toward a double-decker bus on Putney Bridge. CCTV from 2017 showed a jogger push a pedestrian into the path of the bus, and the woman was not seriously injured. Authorities say the suspect is a former British Army officer and a director at a private bank, and the arrest marks a major breakthrough in the near-decade-long inquiry that could lead to prosecution.
Ooh, nearly a decade on there’s been a new and very attention-grabbing arrest in the case of the Putney Pusher – a jogging guy who shoved a woman into the path of a bus (she was amazingly not hurt)… www.lbc.co.uk/article/mult...
Redditors speculating that whoever the Pusher is, he must be rich & powerful to have evaded arrest for so long. Lol, it’s not like Plod has been conducting a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse & doghouse. They closed the investigation in 2018
I’m putting a symbolic £1 on “he’s recently broken up with his partner” or similar.
Oh wow I can't believe they've finally arrested someone. www.lbc.co.uk/article/mult...
It's a case I can't help remembering. I hope they can prosecute.
I’m slightly terrified that one arrested suspect had to prove he was in America when it happened. Like, you would think the police would do this a part of the process of elimination of suspects?
fucking hell i'd completely forgotten about this cos i just assumed they'd eventually caught him.
Or arrested someone else, rather. Hopefully they've actually got him this time. What a long time to get away with that.
There are enough identifying details in here that they probably could just as well print the name.
