Lawsuit seeks to block UFC fights on White House South Lawn
A military veteran and a civic activist sued in federal court to stop a UFC fight card planned for the White House South Lawn on President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday and as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations. The complaint says organizers skipped required environmental review, used federal spaces without congressional approval, and gave promoter TKO Holding Group promotional access to the White House and the Lincoln Memorial. The suit notes President Trump purchased between $15,000 and $50,000 of TKO Holding Group stock in March while promoting the event. If a judge blocks the card, it could cancel the celebration and set a legal precedent limiting use of federal grounds for private, for-profit events and tightening conflict-of-interest enforcement for the president.
