Detainees describe being given "rotten" water and denied food for refusing to sign, and The Atlantic reported investigators documented "a pattern of deliberate neglect designed to dehumanize" and punishments "that may amount to torture." The revelations increase scrutiny of the costly Big Cypress camp and bolster calls to close the site and pursue legal and policy remedies.
