Browns finalizing trade sending Myles Garrett to Rams
The Cleveland Browns are finalizing a blockbuster trade to send two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams. Cleveland will receive edge rusher Jared Verse, a first-round pick, and additional draft compensation. Garrett gives the Rams an immediate elite pass rush threat while the Browns gain youth and draft capital to reshape their roster. The deal reshuffles contender dynamics and meaningfully changes both teams' short-term Super Bowl windows.
The Rams are supporting pride month by getting Myles Garrett so he can fuck up Jaxson Dart and Patrick Mahomes. It’s beautiful
September 21 might be the last game of Jaxson's career. Miles going to hit him hard enough to send him to the Phantom Zone.
Sam Darnold’s gonna see so many ghosts, he’s gonna be sick of seeing so many ghosts
Based on publicly available information, there is no substantiated basis for labeling Patrick Mahomes as homophobic.
the sports betting will be through the roof on Dart's first game. On how many times he gets hit lol
As a Browns fan, I can honestly say this was the worst possible news coming from the team. Keep Watson, trade Garrett...Haslam should sell
Will sure miss Myles. #sadBrownsFan
I hate it that now I have to make a point of watching Giants games to see Dart get fucked up
It's June! Pride Month! Thank you to everyone who has supported us, been kind to us, and shared with us! For the rest of you, read this carefully...
Seattle is progressive Mr. Myles. Just sayin. ✌️
As a Niners fan, I’m absolutely disturbed by this trade.
Mahomes will never return to form. He'll be good but he won't be great again. He'll be easy pickins.
🚨 🚨 🚨 Bombshell: The Browns are finalizing a trade of Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Rams in a shocker, sources tell me, @tompelissero.bsky.social & Adam Schefter. Cleveland would send Garrett to LA in exchange for star edge Jared Verse, a first-rounder, and more.
I loathe the Haslams. Worst owners in the NFL. (They are also really bad people who stole from truckers and got charges dropped against them thanks to Jimmy Haslam's corrupt brother)
He will finally have a chance for a ring
Happy for Myles, but I hate everything else about this trade.
How is this a shocker? He’s a great player with zero baggage, I’m surprised the Browns didn’t get rid of him sooner.
Jealous that Myles will be free of the Haslams. Myles was the only reason I watched the Browns.
Finally gets a chance to go 0-2 against the Seahawks and get bounced in the 1st round of the playoffs
Glad for Myles! Huge browns fan, but we are wasting his talent here. Go get that ring!
How much help do they need to shut down Jacoby Brissett?
Sources are telling me the Rams want to win the Super Bowl
Yeah, it's the Browns so this sounds legit; give up a known quantity for a prospect, a future prospect, and some packing peanuts.
The Browns is the Browns
The Kroenkes enjoyed those Arsenal Premier League winning celebrations so much they said "F**k it! Let's go get another Super Bowl ring" 😂😂😂
A) happy for me, Myles Garrett will no longer terrorize my QB twice a year B) happy for Myles, since I'm happy for anyone escaping the hellhole that is the Browns
Not the trade I was hopping on here to see but holy shit
I hate the NFC West. (/Seattle). But feel bad for the Cardinals. Why even bother for the next generation 😅
Time for McVay to get Aaron Donald on the phone. One last season
Blockbuster! The Browns are finalizing a trade sending superstar Myles Garrett to the Rams, sources tell Adam Schefter, @rapsheet.bsky.social and me. Cleveland is expected to receive two-time Pro Bowl edge Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick and additional compensation.
...is there a chance in hell that Aaron Donald comes out of retirement just to play with this dude and see what happens?
Jared Verse didnt deserve this lol
Man losing to the Seahawks in the NFCCG really irked them
Stafford season ending injury week 1
That feels very, very cheap for such an incredible player.
every single superstar ends up in the NFC West, example 212 @dannybkelly.bsky.social
Rams are playing Madden wtf
So happy for him!! He’s done the slog and deserves a better team!!!
i guess my one question on the myles garrett trade is why now when you have to eat dead cap instead of last year
The Browns weren’t publicly backed into a corner and look like they’re dictating what happens. They want to appear that they’re in control of the situation even if they’re not.
The contract as structured last year made him untradeable. Would’ve been unable to field a team with the cap hit. It was adjusted since then.
I dragged the Rams for the Myles Garrett trade and Defector commenters agreed that I am a stupid butt defector.com/what-the-fuc...
Which… okay fair enough but
There are a thousand interesting angles to the Myles Garrett trade, but the one I think is most relevant to your reaction piece is that Garrett has very low cap hits the next 3 seasons per @spotrac.com. The Browns did some creative Saints accounting with his extension to facilitate a future trade.
it really just makes the draft of the Bama QB more inexplicable
No, you're right, the Browns, a historically smart franchise, probably did something right, and the Rams, perennial also-rans, did something stupid
