London police arrest 43 during Unite the Kingdom and pro‑Palestine marches

politicsMay 17, 2026211,034

The Metropolitan Police arrested 43 people during rival rallies in central London as Tommy Robinson led a Unite the Kingdom rally and a pro-Palestine march marked the Nakba. Police said 12 of those arrested were pro-Palestine activists charged with offences including supporting a proscribed organization and assaulting an emergency worker, and two arrests were logged as hate crime-related. Officers also detained three people for carrying placards bearing profanity-laced anti-Islam slogans, and organisers said Tommy Robinson’s rally attracted far fewer supporters than expected. The arrests underline tensions between nationalist and pro-Palestine movements in Britain and highlight policing challenges around public order, hate speech, and alleged support for proscribed groups.

These are the kinds of groups getting behind Tommy Robinson's Unite the Kingdom march today. They are showing their true colours. We cannot allow this to be normalised.

Fascist group White Vanguard have unfurled their antisemitic banner at #TommyRobinson's demonstration. And we're told this isn't a far right hate march?

The fascists are the real antisemites and islamophobes. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise

"END ZIONIST OCCUPATION OF BRITAIN! STOP WHITE REPLACEMENT"

Just like in the US the Israel First Zionists & the white nationalists are no longer aligned & are fighting amongst themselves Zionists & Nazis have done this before, if only there was some historical event that could serve to remind the world what a dangerous moment it's in

Just like the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” March where a bunch of neo-Nazis (probably cops and military white guys in khakis and polo shirts).

This is where our government must step up. We, the British people demand our government bans this hatred on our streets & communities. It's a lie. At the very heart of it, Racism. But much more dangerous to our nation is Robinson's & Farage's intent. They appeal to scum. They are scum.

Genuine question: why would both marches be allowed on the same day?

Makes a refreshing change from Globalise the Intifada/We don't want no Zionists here/Khaybar Khaybar. Speaking as a Jew thanks to everyone for providing such an elegant example of the horseshoe.
