newsMay 11, 202610481

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius made an unannounced trip to Kyiv to negotiate joint production of drones and other unmanned systems. Pistorius told DPA the talks will focus on joint development of state-of-the-art unmanned systems across all ranges, particularly deep strike capability. He arrived at Kyiv train station and said the discussions aim to strengthen long term partnerships between European and Ukrainian arms manufacturers. If agreed, the joint production would boost Ukraine's strike and surveillance capabilities while tying German industry into longer term Ukrainian defense planning.
