The farm recently lost its breeding license under a deal with a special prosecutor that still allows it to continue experiments, after former employees testified that dogs underwent eye surgeries without general anesthesia. Protesters and witnesses say deputies used excessive force and have accused the sheriff’s office of lying about what happened.
