The BBC announced an 86-concert Proms 2026 season running from mid-July into early September. Highlights include a Prog Rock prom 'A Fanfare for the Common Man' on 18 July, 'Under African Skies: The Songs of Graceland' on 5 August, and a John Coltrane programme on 8 August. The programme also marks the Miles Davis centenary on 20 August, a Steve Reich at 90 concert on 2 September, and a Marvin Gaye 'Prince of Soul' prom on 14 August. The James Bond night will be presented by actor Nick Mohammed, and Proms director Sam Jackson said the festival will not censor performers while navigating budget cuts to broaden audiences.
