UK and EU agree draft deal to remove post-Brexit food checks
Delighted that agreement has been reached on the U.K. EU agrifood deal. From pet passports to the removal of checks at the border, this is good news all round and a solid base to build on for even greater ties. And accession! www.bbc.com/news/article...
I presume this means the UK is now largely tied to EU regulatory standards (without much influence on them). A vital economic outcome sure, but once again 100% foreseen, and revealing of the stupidity of the 2016 'debate'; the platforming of idiots as equal to experts - looking at you BBC etc...
The UK pet passport is a relief. We clung on to our French one for as long as we could but France eventually called time so now we have a lovely vet who comes to the house to do the 5 page Animal Health Cert, but at a price! And it’s every time so 3x pa for us.
www.bbc.com/news/article... Burnham appears to have got closer to EU in 2 months than Starmer got in 2 years.
I am afraid this simply isn’t true. This work was done under Starmer. Anyone who thinks this kind of agreement can be achieved in 2 months sees what they want to see.
This was agreed by Starmer.
So let’s get even closer and boost the UKs trade and security
Rejoin is happening right now.
