Russian drone attack kills at least 14 at Dnipro train station

A Russian jet-powered drone struck a crowded platform at the main railway station in the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro, killing at least 14 people and wounding at least 14 others, officials said. Dnipropetrovsk regional head Oleksandr Hanzha said the wounded included an 11-year-old boy. Ukrzaliznytsia said a passenger train bound for Zaporizhzhia was at the platform when the drone hit. President Volodymyr Zelensky said the Russians attacked a platform where a regular commuter train and a regular passenger train were standing and called for further US, European and G7 sanctions; he also criticized a recent deal that eased some US sanctions on Russia. Local officials and the railway operator said an elevated threat level had been announced before the strike but many people remained on the platform; rescue-service photos show a large hole in the platform and a blast-damaged train. Regional authorities declared a day of mourning for Dnipro and Chernihiv after other deadly Russian strikes killed civilians in Chernihiv and Kremenchuk the same day.

Russian strikes on Ukraine today are truly horrific. A train station in Dnipro, downtown Chernihiv. A father crying over the body of his child. Children screaming for a dad who is now gone. And no reaction from the US, which is the most involved in making a "peace deal." Nothing from Trump at all.

Russia has spent the week hammering Dnipro, striking our power station and murdering civilians waiting for a train. This morning, Russia’s Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery is reportedly ablaze following a Ukrainian drone attack. Keep hitting the refineries fuelling Putin’s war, burn them all🔥
