Appeals Court Rejects Trump DOJ Bid to Set Aside 20,000 CA Ballots
🚨BREAKING: A federal appeals court rejected DOJ's extraordinary request to bypass the district court in its effort to bar California from counting the ballots of around 20,000 people the Trump administration alleges are “likely” noncitizens. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
I don’t want to hear one word out of that shadow docket.
Great episode tonight Mr. Elias! I don’t think this country will ever be able to thank you enough. 🇺🇸💥 Kicking ass and standing on their heads? Love it‼️🤙😅 ✅🇺🇸
🙏 Thank you, Marc Elias
I think his next tantrum will be at GOP who are still losing their elections despite his last min hate rallies. He'll leak some more incriminating evidence on them or maybe SCOTUS bribe payers and payees.
How could it not have been a unanimous decision?!
The scary part? It was 2-1, not 3-0.
Who was that sad lady on the right?
Alaska authorities strongly oppose the Trump DOJ’s attempted “interference” in the election. This is significant because there were concerns the state—which sought to DQ the second Sullivan—would take the same side. But it didn’t. Quite the contrary. buff.ly/EJHtDpX
I think we’re all sick of the rapist felon insurrectionist corruption.
Isn't there a 'D' or an 'R' after the candidates name? I don't see the confusion.
Oh I hope this brings Trump down - like Capone, the thing you don't expect does the trick
Wow! I was not expecting that.
Hugely good and positive news. Will do a lot to dispel his inevitable “it was rigged!!!” Claims.
Wow. This is funny because Blanche was on TV yesterday defending the suit on grounds that the Alaska election officials were on their side
Bumatay, meanwhile, shows he should not be taken seriously from the opening paragraph of his embarrassing 35-page dissent. Compare the first page of the federal appeals court judge's dissent with the first page of the actual complaint filed in federal court by DOJ. Truly.
Yeah, after watching the past two weeks (let alone the past two years), this is what Patrick Bumatay concluded:
"Likely" means greater than 50%, which rounds to 100%, which is certainty. That's just math.
I used to consider Bumatay a halfway reasonable choice for the Supreme Court when Trump makes his next nomination. This dissent changes my mind. It is nothing more than an audition. You can count on one hand the Trump nominees a Democratic Senate will confirm. Bumatay will not be among them.
Is he eyeing Alito’s seat?
“Those questionable ballot are now rolling in.” Maybe I missed it but I don’t think even DOJ asserted this. Pure speculation, coming from a judge, no less.
“According to the government,” so no actual evidence, like an affidavit, just mere advocacy? So stupid to base the dissent on stanning the DOJ pleading. Attorney arguments are not evidence is a standard jury instruction; Judge Bumatay should have been mindful of that requirement.
