Richard Tice appears on BBC Radio 4 Today

Richard Tice appeared on BBC Radio 4 Today for an interview in which he set out Reform UK’s policy positions, arguing he is qualified to run the UK economy because of his business experience and calling for cuts to net zero ambition and foreign aid. During the interview he referenced energy and oil projects including Jackdaw and Rosebank in discussion of climate and energy policy. Justin Webb, the programme presenter, put questions to Tice, and social media posts quoted listeners accusing Tice of being out of touch, 'grossly and dangerously ignorant', and 'crying hysterically' off-air. Other posts criticised the BBC for giving Tice airtime despite Reform’s small parliamentary representation and lower polling, and some called for Ofcom scrutiny of the broadcast. The appearance focused attention on Reform’s economic and climate agenda and prompted immediate public complaints and online criticism of the broadcaster’s booking decisions.

Feeling a bit rough this morning after being up all night comforting Richard Tice, who was crying hysterically.
