Sharks beat Senators 6-2 as Askarov posts 40-save night

Career-high 40 saves for #SJSharks Yaroslav Askarov, including 33 in the last 2 periods Sharks 3rd win in last 12 games at Ottawa. First win there since Oct. 21, 2021

Can't stop, won't stop watching this Yaroslav Askarov save 👏

The #SJSharks need to get on the attack here in the third. They've been turtling and just dumping the puck out. Stop killing time and play your game. I'd hope that's the message from the coaching staff too.

#SJSharks lead 5-2 without a point from Macklin Celebrini. They last scored 5+ goals without a point from Celebrini in a 7-6 OT loss to Stars on 3/5/2024 when Celebrini was still in college at BU

Holy cow, save of the season so far right there by Askarov. Unbelievable.

He was decent tonight. Made a number of good saves, particularly in the first half. Askarov was stellar tonight, though. These back-to-backs stink. Especially since the Sens left it all on the ice last night.

Sharks first win during regulation this season! They won 6-2 against the Senators. It was a really exciting 2nd period. 2 stars of the game: Askarov & Graf! Askie pretzeled, at one point, to glove down a puck, and Graf got a short-handed goal and an assist! Get it, boys!

This is why I can’t quit Askarov, he can make some of the craziest saves I’ve ever seen
