Madoka Magica movie 'Walpurgisnacht: Rising' set for U.S. theatrical run Jan 16-19, 2027

tvOct 8, 202615794

Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Walpurgisnacht Rising is set for a U.S. theatrical run January 16 to 19, 2027, with Aniplex of America and Fathom announcing English-subtitled and English-dubbed screenings. Fans are circling on Madoka Kaname and Homura, replaying the film’s moments about Homura failing to save Madoka and riffing on Walpurgisnacht as a dramatic focal point. Excitement links that theatrical window to recent releases of the franchise, including the trilogy arriving on 4K Ultra HD and the prior films’ streaming and UHD plans. The mood mixes relief and last-minute plans to rewatch the earlier films before those January dates.

nearly 2 months after the film has been screened in japan to announce that it will be coming in another 3 months like how is this still acceptable for an anime movie this anticipated. still no date for the uk and ireland so i cant watch but whatever at this point this whole rollout has been awful

2027?! What the fuck? It was released on Chilean theatres last week! A 5-month delay from its original showing for an English dub is beyond incompetence.
