Texas AG Paxton opens investigations into pediatricians who vaccinate children

newsOct 5, 2026502,427

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has opened a statewide investigation into pediatricians who administer childhood vaccines, accusing doctors, drug companies and insurers of a profit-driven conspiracy to push parents to vaccinate. In December Paxton’s Consumer Protection Division sent at least one pediatrician, who asked to be identified as Rachel, a letter demanding 10 years of vaccine purchase records and the practice’s vaccine policy, saying citing the CDC schedule would not suffice. The letters framed the inquiry as probing “potential misleading or deceptive acts regarding incentives associated with the administration of childhood vaccines,” a possible violation of Texas deceptive trade practices law. Pediatricians say the requests have imposed legal costs and stress; one pediatrician has already paid about $15,000 in legal fees to respond. Several doctors warn the investigation is prompting some to reconsider continuing their practices rather than face ongoing probes. The investigation continues as Paxton, a Republican Senate candidate, pursues the records and officials weigh whether the requests will lead to enforcement actions or wider legal proceedings.

A very strange political tactic trying to make villains of pediatricians— a group generally respected by most everyone and depended upon and still very trusted by most parents. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/05/h...

Essential, brilliant reporting by @by-cjewett.bsky.social It's TERRIFYING: MAHA folks are INVESTIGATING pediatricians, who are some of the lowest paid docs in the professions, for vaccinating kids It's part of a 20-year anti-vaxx campaign by RFK Jr "that some of his political allies have joined"

TX is going to be completely out of physicians between the universities caving to Trump, abortion restrictions, and now this shit. Why would anyone want to practice there??

The Old Magoo12

*points to this article & the recently-resigned Deputy FBI guy who argued in court that abortion pills should be banned because teen pregnancy helps the economy as direct ways it can always be worse with his appointments, because imagine this shit at the DOJ despite Blanche being there*

In case you needed another reason to hate Ken Paxton — yes, that Ken Paxton, the one running for Senate: he's going after pediatricians for doing their jobs.

>she has begun to reconsider amid the stress and legal costs of defending herself in a statewide investigation by Ken Paxton, the AG of Texas and Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate, who has accused doctors, drug companies and insurers of conspiring to push parents into vaccinating children.

Republicans like RFK Jr and Paxton are trying to kill American children. How disgusting!
