newsOct 5, 202637436

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has launched a judicial review asking the High Court to quash the search warrants Thames Valley Police used at his Sandringham and Royal Lodge homes. The warrants were issued by a judge at the Central Criminal Court on 18 February and preceded his arrest on 19 February on suspicion of misconduct in public office; he was interviewed under caution and released under investigation. His legal challenge names the chief constable of Thames Valley Police and the Central Criminal Court and seeks a ruling on the warrants' lawfulness. A court hearing to consider the bid is scheduled for Thursday afternoon and will begin in private. Thames Valley Police said it is engaged in legal proceedings about warrants previously obtained from the Central Criminal Court and that its investigation is continuing. Mountbatten-Windsor, who lost his princely title and the Dukedom of York over his links to Jeffrey Epstein, has consistently denied any wrongdoing in those associations.
