Kid Rock 'Freedom Fest' canceled after dismal ticket sales

Organizer Eric Deters canceled Patriots Day Freedom Fest days before its planned Sept. 26 date at his farm in Morning View, Kentucky after selling just six of the roughly 100 VIP packages he was counting on to fund the event. General admission and parking had been advertised as free while VIP packages cost $1,000 each; Deters said in a Facebook video that his plan depended on those VIP sales and that the math "wasn't there." Headliners advertised for the festival included Kid Rock and Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter," and Fox News contributor Joe Concha was listed among several political speakers. Deters said he will not attempt the event again and directed frustration at the wealthy contacts he expected to support it, saying "rich people, as a whole, suck." The cancellation is the latest public setback for Kid Rock this year after discounting tickets and lineup changes on his Rock the Country tour and other controversies involving the musician.

Kid Rock's toxic unpopularity has caused *two* music festivals to be cancelled in this year alone: Patriots Day Freedom Fest in September 2026 Rock the Country South Carolina Stop in February 2026 It couldn't happen to a more obnoxious, washed-up no-talent.
