Jayden Daniels was carted off AT&T Stadium after suffering a left-elbow injury on the final play of the first half of Washington’s 37-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The Washington Post reported Daniels left the field with his left arm in an air cast and a towel over his head, and noted the injury involved the same elbow he dislocated last year. Commanders coach Dan Quinn said Daniels suffered another dislocated left elbow, with X-rays negative and more imaging planned. Quinn added Daniels is expected to miss time; the team has ruled Daniels out for the remainder of the game. The play that led to the injury occurred as Daniels extended his left arm while slipping after the snap, and he was taken directly to the locker room on a cart. The injury immediately created uncertainty about Washington’s short-term quarterback depth and next steps for the offense.
