Death Battle rematch Shadow vs Mewtwo debuts, Shadow wins

tvSep 20, 202634291

Death Battle released a rematch episode of Shadow vs Mewtwo with upgraded animation and concluded by declaring Shadow the winner. Posts highlight Shadow's "Sayonara" send-off and note the episode uses both of Mewtwo's Mega forms, with many praising Souljen's fight animation and Johnny Gioeli's contribution. Commenters point out explicit callbacks to the Sonic 3 movie and to anime frames and Nazo Unleashed, and several say the analysis matched the high-energy showdown. Creators are posting Shadow art and work-in-progress projects tied to the episode, with some calling it one of the best episodes this year.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbtv... I know Death Battle gets meme`ed on a lot, but I genuinely think this might be one of their best videos ever made. It's pretty damn hype.

it really highlights how far the channel has come, imo the original was basically treated as a joke, yet years later we get a rematch that treats both characters with respect and is so well-written and well-animated

It was genuinely really well animated and both their chararizarions were really solid.

Just saw it rn and I fully agree! One of, if not, their best fight in a long time!!

They sure gotten better with the animation, it feels more professional. Back in the old days the animation was more in line with an old Adult Swim cartoons like Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Now it looks like action anime!

Mach1

My favorite is still the Kirby vs. Buu match. I loved what they did with the old pixel sprites :D

I regret to inform y'all that I will not be able to finish this in time for the episode today (blame procrastination, laziness, and fanfic-reading getting in the way). However, I WILL show off where I am so far in the process. @deathbattle.gg #DEATHBATTLE #ShadowVSMewtwo

For the record, I consider this to only be 1/5 of the way done so far.

Death Battle - Shadow vs Mewtwo As a Shadow Fan. As a Mewtwo Fan. As a fan of the Matchup. I'm blown away, in shock. It did, damn near if not exactly everything I could have wanted on all fronts. It might be best of season. Might be best of show. Feels nice not to get burned.

The References were pretty damn awesome I love all the Sonic 3 movie references which made me a happy Pokie :] Plus both Mewtwo Mega forms being used this time made me even more happy And I'm glad Shadow says "Sayonara" this time because I find it honestly very piotic 10/10 Death Battle

I love this shot of Shadow and just showing respect to Mewtwo

They are very similar and I love how much passion that was put into this episode and to watch it with friends

It was truly a blast thank you DB team and my friends who were watching it with me <3💚

Me: Man, I'm so tired of people always expecting Death Battle to be all about Halloween and horror matchups in October. I hope the next MU has nothing to do with any of this. The Sun Wukong paw:
