Shape of Dreams launches on Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass today

Shape of Dreams arrives today on Xbox Series X|S and is available day one on Xbox Game Pass alongside its largest update to date, The Starless Path. Developer Lizard Smoothie says more than 1.5 million players have played since the game launched on Steam in September 2025. Shape of Dreams is a co-op action roguelite with nine playable Travelers, including Lacerta who uses firearms, Shell who wields a blade, and Nachia who commands summoned companions, and each Traveler has unique weapons, abilities, and personal story episodes. The game offers over 200 Memories and Essences that combine into varied builds, supports up to four-player online co-op, and has cross-play from day one. The Starless Path adds a new Traveler, Cetus, who manipulates frost for burst damage and battlefield control, plus a new path called the Way of Stars that links episodes into a new ending with illustrations and exclusive emotes. The update also introduces six shared Identity Memories, tougher heroic boss patterns at higher difficulties, and a new Limbo endgame difficulty beyond Nightmare for players seeking a greater challenge.
