South Park season premiere debuts 'South America' intro with nude Trump cameo

tvSep 17, 202627321

South Park's season premiere reopened with a retooled intro that now calls the show South America, complete with new Les Claypool vocals and a brief nude Trump cameo that people kept pointing to. The episode, titled South American Biker Gangs, centers on kids and escalating e-bike chaos as Cartman uses an e-bike to terrorize his friends and the town. Posts zeroed in on the rewritten lyric going down to South America, an Akira reference tucked into the episode, and the sly one-image jab at the president as part of the show's renaming bit. The rename itself is being treated as part of the joke about recent map and place-name changes, with viewers noting the show acts as if South America was always its name.

Tonight South Park (now South America), airs its first episode of the season. The episode “South American Biker Gangs” is about E-bike gangs. This is going to both be really funny and really painful to watch.

Thought it was pretty fair. Blamed bad actors for bad behavior - not all e-bike riders, for example. Just Cartman ha ha. Definitely leaned into the freedom the kids could enjoy when they had the ability to transport themselves. That even allowed Kenny(!) to find his voice.

Despite renaming the show/town to South America as a response to the dumb Gulf of America and Lake America renames, the new South Park episode was devoid of political antics from our manchild president. Instead, it's a good old fashioned wacky adventure at a Colorado town.

to their credit, South Park was never afraid to punch up (even if it was also never afraid to punch down and sideways just as much)

Here's your friendly reminder that South Park comes on tonight. They changed their name to South America. It should be a riot. 🤣

Other than 1 brief image, the newest episode of "South...America" delivered a "running mockery of Trump’s executive order renaming Lake Ontario & of Apple & Google’s decision to update their maps on command" 1- youtu.be/KEO7R_EgpUo?... 2- demwinsmedia.substack.com/p/breaking-t... #CorporateCowards

The new episode of South America is actually great! It’s got that classic feeling that I’ll always adore from the series. It also has an Akira reference which is always welcome
