Kingdom Hearts x Fortnite Collab Reveals Sora, Riku, Kairi and Roxas Skins

gamingSep 15, 202636502

Kingdom Hearts collided with Fortnite when the new trailer revealed KH2-era Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Roxas skins and confirmed an item shop drop on September 17. The trailer uses actual Utada Hikaru music and teases the Kingdom Hearts moon appearing on the Fortnite map, which some posts flagged as a striking in-game beat. Responses split between outright excitement and sharp criticism over design choices and whether series director Tetsuya Nomura would approve, with a few posts joking about Sora wielding modern weapons. The moment has become a mix of celebration, skepticism, and speculation about how much Kingdom Hearts lore Fortnite will include.

To add to this and @bunnybelmont.bsky.social earlier posts about this, even Super Smash Bros got the real deal with Sora when there's the actual mickey logo in the game. Fortnite just replaced it with their llama. And as a life long KH fan, I've never touched this game and I don't intend to now.

Good thing Master Yen Sid taught Sora how to fire an AK-47. (not that the trailer will show them holding a gun lol) www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYfW...

Damn, I guess I'm not complete trash for KH cuz my immediate reaction upon seeing this was "lol, this sucks" Reminder that Fortnite is AI slop.

BRO WHAT IS THAT KEYCHAIN??? Don't tell me fucking Fortnite couldn't shell out the money for the Mickey Mouse shape lol

My poor boy. They fucked up his face.

Not only Fortnite is AI slop, it’s also both homophobic and transphobic too and speaking of transphobia, they also collaborated with two transphobes who were exposed in the files so, that’s not a very good look for Fortnite.

The Megaman also looks pretty good, I am still beating myself if I should get them, I don't even play the game that much.

I really wish that KH stuff wasn’t added into Fortnite. Considering how strict Nomura was with Sora in Smash I think he didn’t approve everything about this new collab considering several details I noticed (either that or he stopped caring as much which is also an upsetting possibility)
