007 First Light delayed on Nintendo Switch 2 to March 2027

IO Interactive delayed the Nintendo Switch 2 release of 007 First Light to March 2027, the studio confirmed in a public statement. The game originally launched on other platforms in May 2026 and the Switch 2 edition has faced multiple postponements tied to optimization and performance work. IO Interactive said the extra time will go toward polishing the Nintendo Switch 2 performance and that an exact March date will be communicated later. The studio added that the game will be playable at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show. The move aims to ensure the Switch 2 build meets the studio’s quality expectations before release.

Take all the time you need If fans have learned one thing from the Elden Ring port in Switch 2, it is clearly better to give developers time and grace to eventually launch a better product. You can only make a first impression once, so be patient and pick up something else while you wait.

like as an example "007 first light is extremely linear and gives waypoints", but everyones first impression of that before the game came out was "ooh hitman-lite as bond? cool" and i think the games is... fun! good variety, i like the characters, the levels, theres a lot of fun in *playing* it

So with all the goodness of the new #NintendoSwitch2 firmware update, there is a specific caveat - if you were using your Joy-Con 2 controllers just fine with the Genki Delta Grip before, they're not gonna work after you update. Hoping for a fix to come out soon, but man, this really pissed me off.

Please do not sleep on Orbitals. It's one of the best co-op experiences and has a unique 90s anime art direction that NEEDS to come back more.
