Kingdom Hearts' Sora is joining Fortnite this week, with teasers advertising follow-up appearances for Riku, Kairi, and Roxas and a “Follow your heart. September 17.” reveal. Social posts pivot from excitement about Sora appearing in-game to nitpicking his new look, repeatedly calling out an elongated neck, a “DreamWorks smirk,” and uncanny proportions that make him feel like an adult in a costume. Others are debating the in-game keyblade details and joking that Fortnite finally lets Sora carry a gun, while a separate strand of posts celebrates new Kingdom Hearts artwork and anticipation for the next numbered entry. The moment centers less on the collaboration announcement itself and more on how Sora’s Fortnite design reshapes the character people care about and what additional KH characters might soon join him.
