Fate/EXTRA Record launches January 28, 2027

Fate/EXTRA Record got a firm release date of January 28, 2027 after its State of Play reveal, and the announcement has fans zeroing in on a few specific reveals. Many are climbing aboard because Nero’s new portrayal, what one post calls “obnoxious and then bisexual in that order”, promises that character beat will stay loud in Record. Attention is also fixed on Beach Style and Festival Style Archer being included in the Digital Deluxe Edition, and on confirmations that a full physical release for Switch 2 is on carts with preorders already listed. Conversations pick up over Wada Arco’s evolved character designs and a cameo shopkeeper reveal that pushed at least one longtime player from mild interest to a day-one purchase vow.

I generally avoid swimsuit and casual wear costumes, because I'm more into the aesthetics of ornate and elaborate armor. This has made it very easy to navigate costume DLC in Japanese games.

Sashimi Princess Maddie Returns to Life2

Torn between ponytail tamamo and hat tamamo as the winners of this. Hat Hakunon also gets points. Nero is cute but these fits aren't very interesting for her

kinda fucked up that unveiling my favorite character, even just as a cameo character who runs a shop, got me from "yeah Fate Extra Record will probably be good, I'll play it when I find time" to "I WILL BE THERE, DAY 1, NO MATTER WHAT"

Adding Alice is nice too. I'm not nearly as outspoken about her but Kuonji Alice is a good character and she's cute and fun.

designs aside it's kind of crazy how much wada arco's art has evolved between fate/extra and record, i'm still a little nostalgic for some of the older art but you can see her picking up new techniques in real time
