Final Fantasy Resonance demo launches; FFVII Revelation dated April 8, 2027
we’ll never get a situation like final fantasy 7 again enjoy this while it lasts
there is no game remotely approaching the same universe of planet aligning that is the technological leap, acclaim, and meta mythology of wanting a remake that would both lead to the self indulgence of leaving no stone unturned and having enough people actually want all that to support it
*blinks* this is basically a lotr trilogy situation (gongo has been playing the lotr trilogy making of dvds and it's such a testament, while also leaving me feeling somber that something like this will never happen again)
See you in line for the Holodeck version in 30 years.
We definitely are getting a quadrilogy remake in a couple more decades
What situation? Are we having a situation? Is it enjoyable? I REALLY don't know what you are talking about. A trilogy of games, each longer than the original and not even containing the whole media franchise. There is at least as much to criticize as there is to like.
I got it during Remake and subsequently went downhill from there. 😒
Final Fantasy VII Revelation retail copies will require download for all versions www.square-enix-games.com/en_US/news/f...
Kind of defeats the purpose of physical editions.
What happened to the data discs Remake and Rebirth had?
Gaming industry going down the toilet.
"Please spend $400 on our collector's edition, you get a statue and a disc that doesn't really matter"
So there's no PHYSICAL edition of FFVII Revelation. That disc is entirely useless, it's just as if it were not even here. No disc, no buy.
2028 coming sooner than expected…
Imagine having so little faith in your product that you refuse to put it out on physical media. But this is also the same company that fucked up a remake by turning it into a convoluted sequel, so...
just forgetting the purpose of physical media ok
I mean... yeah. 200GB of data (on PS5/XS) isn't gonna fit on any disc media, and we're long past the point of disc swaps during gameplay. And Switch 2 cards aren't supporting that, either. It's the problem with bloat. Data sizes are out of control and no physical media can handle it.
silly tbh and a bit bummed I won't complete the trilogy on my shelf but this stops me from playing it on ps5 so we take that silver lining
Yeah this sucks but ill suck it up just for this time
Nintendo should start contracting out a team to help other companies condense their games
Considering that Remake and Rebirth had install discs alongside the main one, this is a bit of a shame that the final entry won’t have one. With physical media slowly on the way out, guess this is the best we can get.
Kingdom hearts 4 wont be on the disc either then huh
120 gb on the switch 2 is crazy. That's half the consoles storage.
That was true of the first two?
