🚨🔵🔴 Barcelona and Arsenal have now exchanged documents for Gabriel Jesus deal. €10m fixed fee, €4m add-ons and 20% sell-on clause. Gabriel will land in Barcelona tomorrow for medical tests and contract signing. Contract until June 2028 plus option to extend.

Hope that Gabriel Jesus gets things back on track for himself at Barcelona. It's a shame injuries derailed his time at Arsenal. Those three months before the '22 World Cup were something. The attack looked irresistible with him leading the line, popping up on the wings, etc.

Gabriel Jesus made 123 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 32 goals & assisting 18 in all competitions. Probably in the minority in that I think his early impact was over-indexed based on his high energy being in direct contrast to the paucity of what had gone before (Lacazette barely running).

I didn't dare to believe it'd happen... but now that it's confirmed: I'm glad and relieved. Gabriel Jesus was so good pre 2022 World Cup Finals injury but since then, he's generally underperformed. Amidst all the reports about his reluctance to leave the UK, Barcelona proved too tempting, huh?

Fare thee well Gabriel Jesus. Fair to say that, over 4 years, it didn't really work out but I will never forget that opening evening at Crystal Palace in 2022 when he reminded us what a centre forward could be.
